Accomodation + LOgistics
Hotel
My family and I would stay at the Regent, Four Seasons Singapore. The hotel is located at a prime location just walking distance away from Orchard Road, the cultural epicentre of Singapore. This would provide us access to both the MRT (Singapore's public transit system) as well a variety of restaurants and shopping centres along Orchard Road itself. There is also a famous bakery in the lobby that makes for a quick and easy breakfast.
HOTEL ROOM
The specific hotel room that we will be staying in is the superior room available at the Regent Hotel Singapore. Each room is around 400 square feet and contains two twin beds with a view of the city and garden. Due to my family of four, two superior rooms will be purchased for a total of 8 nights (June 23rd to July 1st)
Cost:
209 SPD (Singaporean Dollars) = $201.45 (Canadian Dollars) per night
$201.45 * 2 = $402.9
$402.9 * 8 nights = $3,223.2

MRT (MAss Rapid Transit)
During our vacation in Singapore, our main mode of transportation around the city would be through the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). Singapore's public transport system is incredible, sprawling across the entire city and delivering passengers quickly and efficiently. Due to many of the activities being in close proximity to our hotel, a lot of walking will also be involved, especially given the sentimentality for my family. A stop is located at Scotts Road and Orchard Road, just a 12 minute walk from our hotel.
COSTS:
Are dependent on the distance travelled between stations.
Fees range from $0.78 to $2.03, depending on distance.
Due to the distance of the Singapore Zoo, Sentosa and the East Coast Seafood Market from our hotel, the MRT would probably be taken. Assuming a $2.00 fare per trip:
$2.00 * 4 (4 people) = $8.00
$8.00 * 6 (3 trips, there and back) = $48.00

Miscellaneous Transportation Fees
Other Transportation fees would include the cab ride to and from Changi Airport, as it is located on the other side of Singapore from our hotel.
Using the website 'TaxiFareFinder' and assessing the distance between Changi Airport and the Regent Hotel results in a cab fare of $27.67 (Without Traffic)
Cost:
$27.67 * 2 (There and Back) = $55.34
Our day trip to Sentosa would also require a round-trip cable car ride to reach the island. With 4 people and the cable car costing 6.5 SPD each:
Cost:
6.5 SPD = $6.25 Canadian Dollars
4 * 6.25 = $25
25 * 2 (There and Back) = $25
