FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!
East Coast Seafood Market
One of the most famous cuisines available in Singapore is their seafood. Located on the South-Eastern side of Singapore, the East Coast Seafood Market hosts a number of seafood restaurants serving local favourites such as chilli crab. Authentic chilli crab would be our first priority in terms of food, as my mother has tried to recreate it during her time in Canada but is convinced that it is nothing compared to the dish in Singapore.
Orchard Road
Due to our hotel's close proximity to Orchard Road itself, it puts us within walking distance of a number of restaurants and dining options along Orchard Road. Here we can try a wide variety of restaurants originating from diverse cultures, from Japanese sushi to steakhouses.
GEneral FOod Costs
Given the length of the vacation being 7 and a half days, a majority of the meals during the trip would be taken at various restaurants based on convenience or local suggestions. Assuming three meals a day, and considering the relatively lower prices of food in Singapore, I will budget approximately $50 (Canadian) per day for food, per person.
Costs:
$50 * 4 (4 people) = $200
$200 * 7.5 = $1,500
